Our first sustainability report (2025)

At Holloway Consulting, our core commitment is to be a truly responsible business. This means we don’t just chase quick profits; we integrate integrity, innovation, and long-term thinking into everything we do.

We are thrilled to share our first-ever Holloway Consulting Sustainability Report, covering our work with clients.

This report is our way of demonstrating how we operate our business ethically, transparently, and with a focus on the future. We worked with experts from the University of Southampton Business School (USBS) to make sure this review was thorough and impartial.

Why are we doing this?

Our strategies are guided by the principle that success means making choices that benefit people, communities, and the environment while achieving strong, sustainable commercial results.

Our founder, Ben Holloway, established the business to challenge outdated models of growth where focusing on short-term profit outweighs long-term impact.

What we measured: 5 simple focus areas

We focused on the areas where we have the biggest impact, detailing our practices in five key material topics:

  1. Economic impact (value for money)
We track the financial benefits we are able to show and deliver to clients.
  2. Local presence
We report on how we support our local community, including procurement and prioritising local hiring in Hampshire and Southern England.
  3. Diversity and fairness
We ensure equal opportunities, fair compensation for everyone, and maintain a 50:50 gender balance in our core team.
  4. Honest marketing
We are transparent about the services we offer and avoid making exaggerated claims about potential returns.
  5. Customer privacy
We protect all client information and comply with UK data protection laws (GDPR), which is supported by our registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

How our values ensure the best client results

Our commitments are not just words – they are active principles that shape how we work with you. By partnering with a values-led consultancy, you get strategies that are built on trust and designed for long-term success.

Here is how our approach ensures you get the best possible result:

  • Do the right thing:
We build real partnerships by co-creating solutions with you. We also ensure high accountability by using experienced specialists to promote transparency.
  • Innovative thinking:
We challenge outdated models that prioritise short-term profit. We use creative problem-solving to deliver outcomes that are meaningful, measurable, and sustainable.
  • Bigger picture focus:
We integrate sustainability thinking (ESG) into every project we deliver. We ensure every decision considers the long-term future, not just solving today’s problem.
  • Ethical vetting:
Our ethical standards are of the utmost importance to us, and we will decline projects that could potentially cause social or environmental harm. For example, we turned down a project with a major tobacco company.
  • Proven value:
Our values-led approach delivers tangible success: clients typically see a big return on investment within the first phase of the project.
